The newly released war movie on Netflix is brutal and shows the grim reality of wars.
This movie is based on a fictional character named Paul Baumer, who’s just seventeen years old. Paul decides to be a part of the war despite his parent’s disagreement towards it.
At the start of the movie, Paul seems to be a very fragile and innocent young boy who wants to go to fight in the war just because his friends were going. But as the film progresses he learns more and more about the harsh reality of life.
Paul who was a youthful boy goes on to become a strong soldier who doesn’t give up. He sees many people die, people from his own country, his closest friends, and even their enemies.
At one point in the movie, Paul realizes what he is doing and has a breakdown. He watches all of his friends get killed which is heartbreaking to watch. Paul himself almost dies thrice, but his survival instinct doesn’t let him.
In the end, when the proposal is signed and the war is declared over at eleven, the soldiers are sent back to capture a place, fifteen minutes before the war will officially end. Just a few seconds before the clock strikes eleven, Paul gets stabbed right in the heart, which kills him.
