In ‘Rise of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, Leonardo pulls a hero move and tries to sacrifice himself.
Leonardo experiences a massive character development in the movie. He goes from being impulsive, self-centered, arrogant, selfish, and not listening to anybody to fighting for everyone, saving all of his brothers and friends, and being selfless. Before Leo’s change in attitude, Casey even tells him that every decision he’s making is costing someone’s life, and Raph says that not everything is about him, and he has to act responsibly and be a hero.
When the ninjas finally get back the key, and it’s time to close the door to the prison dimension, Leo fights with krang outside of the dimension. He then figures out that to get krang into the prison dimension, he will have to go in there. While everything is going according to his plan and krang follows him into the prison dimension, he tells Casey Jones to close the door even though he is still in there.
Leo’s brothers are devastated and hurt. His youngest brother Mikey then says he won’t give up on him and tries to explore his mystic powers. Finally, it works, so his brothers join him and create a portal to the prison dimension. And then they pull out Leo and kill Krang once and for all.
Leo showed great courage and surely became the greatest ninja the world has ever seen.
The new Netflix release, ‘The Rise of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, starts in the future. We can only see Michelangelo(Mikey) and Leonardo fighting the Krangs in the year 2044. But does this mean their brothers Raphael and Donatello are dead? And will Mikey die too?
