Does Casey Jones From ‘Rise Of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Go Back To The Future?
The newly released Rise of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles involves time travel, but will Casey Jones who has time traveled to the past go back to his own timeline?
The fight going on 2044 forces Casey Jones to go twenty years in the past. He is given the task to find the mystic key that opens a portal to the prison dimension, and he has to find it before his rivals do. Casey does go to the past, but fails to get hold of it before the foot clan, the rivals. Eventually, Casey Jones with the help of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, April O’Neil and Master Splinter do find the mystic key and defeat the krang, save the world and the future.
Why Casey Jones should stay back in past –
As we can see at the beginning of the movie, the fight between the teenage mutant ninja turtles and the krang has destroyed almost everything. The chances of survival of humankind is very slim. Casey himself has said that they had to live in caves and eat leaves and rats. So there is no point in going back to the future where pizza doesn’t even exist? Casey would definitely agree, now that he has tried his first slice of pizza.
But there is also a possibility that the future might have changed since the krang are imprisoned again.
Why Casey Jones should go back to the future –
Casey staying back in the past can cause disruptions in the timeline. In the end of the movie we are shown that April O’Neil is friends with Casey Jones’ mother, meaning that he is almost the same age as his mother. And since he exists in the future, there might be a chance that two Casey Jones can exist in the same dimension.
Well, it is all up to Casey to choose whether he wants to stay back in the past and enjoy the cheesiness of the pizza or go back to the future and explore the possibility of the new future.
