Disney Is Trying Its Best To Buy Spider-Man Rights Back From Sony
One of the questions that Marvel and Spider-Man fans have asked the most over the past few years is. How long will Sony keep the rights to Peter Parker Character? Disney has been doing its best to acquire all possible rights to the comics, allowing the MCU to be even more expansive and not face any political or bureaucratic barriers in the future.
The dominance of Mickey’s House became apparent, for example, when Disney managed to re-acquire the rights to Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Luke Cage, which had been under the domain of Netflix. Now, the public questions daily when they will arrive or be introduced in Marvel Cinematic Universe.
While the process with Netflix seems to have been smoother, the same cannot be said of Sony and Marvel, but the rival studios in theaters have created a profitable partnership on behalf of the heroes.

Tom Holland’s contract will end after Spider-Man: No Way Home , and Webhead’s admirers are fearful for the future. So will we have another actor playing Peter Parker, or will Tom renew his commitment to Marvel after the third movie’s release?
Meanwhile, Sony has been building a veritable empire with Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse. Later this year, the studio will release Venom: Let There Be Carnage, with Morbius slated to debut in early 2022. The antagonists are ready, but when will we have the connection between them and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man universe?
According to Giant Freakin Robot, Disney wants to go beyond its April deal with Sony Pictures and is determined to finally get Spider-Man’s rights back under its wing, whether by making a proposal for the character or even by Sony’s film division.
It Can Cost Upto Billions Of Dollars
It hasn’t been revealed how much Disney would be willing to offer Sony for the purchase, but we know it won’t be easy and won’t be a cheap value. The two companies had already explored this offer in the past but ended up not going forward. At the time, there was talk of 4 or 5 billion dollars, an insane number, but that doesn’t seem so meaningless when compared to the money that companies make with the superhero, shot the most popular in the world.
There is honestly no telling what Marvel is willing to do in order to get Spider-Man back! The real question is honestly whether or not Sony would even entertain handing him over. Let’s not forget Sony has their own little thing going on with Venom and Kraven and other rumored projects in the works. Though, it has been saying recently there is a plan to tie those universes together.
Apparently, Peter Parker is responsible for the plans being revised once more. It can all be explained by Sony’s reluctance to simply sell the Spider-Man rights to Marvel, as the hero movie is the current flagship of the studio.
