Farmers all around India have been protesting against the New Farmers Bills since last year because they believe for these laws to be oppressive and benefit primarily from private food buyers at the expense of producers. As a result, they have been out on roads protesting in large numbers, even in extreme weather conditions.

After a week of violent clashes with the police, protesting farmers went on a one-day hunger strike. In response to that, the Indian government blocked all mobile internet/data services in multiple parts of New Delhi on Saturday in the name of ‘public safety.’

To express his gratitude, actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh decided to dedicated his brand new song to Rihanna as an appreciation.
Details on the track
He wrote a two-minute-fifteen-second song titled ‘RiRi‘ (another popular name for Rihanna). In this song, Diljit referred to Rihanna’s home country Barbados. He compared her to an angel. Diljit has supported the protest since the beginning and has made hefty donations towards the cause.
