JLo has been in the news constantly after her split from Alex Rodriguez, and now this meeting with Ben Affleck, her ex-fiancé, is sparking up rumors.

Hollywood’s First Hybrid Name Couple

It looks like they were just dating but believe us when we say it was two decades ago and the end was never expected even by die-hard Bennifer fans.

It all began for the couple when they met on the sets of Gigli in 2002. JLo was married to Chris Judd back in,2002 but by 2003, she separated from him and announced her relationship with Affleck shortly.

Get this, when JLo spoke about Affleck in 2016 to People Magazine, she said, “I felt like….Okay, this is it.”

But this didn’t go exactly as they both wanted; well, when has life ever given us that privilege.

Ben Affleck and JLo’s Engagement

To tell that they both were crazy about each other would be an understatement. Both were often seen gushing over each other.

Ben Affleck proposed to Jennifer Lopez with a hand-picked Pink-Diamond solitaire ring. When JLo told about the proposal in an interview, it went like this, “… it was traditional! But, also in a very spectacular way, as of course, Ben Affleck would do it … it was very…. very beautiful.”

JLo even went on to say that her mother approved of Ben and that they had a similar upbringing, and that’s what worked for them.

She described Ben Affleck as “brilliantly smart … Loving. Charming. Affectionate….And I just admire him in every way.”

JLo and Ben Affleck were the first couple whose relationship was publicized. Their relationship was right when paparazzi and entertainment gossip were born, which didn’t help them in any way.

Both were constantly judged and written about. One of the strong reasons for their split is still believed to be the part paparazzi played. Ben Affleck commented on how it affected them years later,

Couple’s High Priority Breakup

The couple postponed their wedding just one day before their wedding date. The couple did it because of the immense paparazzi surrounding her wedding.

They even had to fix three fake brides at several locations to cause a diversion, but nothing worked, and they decided to pause. Things were rough for a while, but they both did rekindle their relationship later.

But by 2004, they both had called it quits and went their separate ways. In 2016, JLo said that there was genuine love between them.

“I think different time different thing, who knows what could’ve happened, but there was a genuine love there,”

The Future

Ben Affleck and JLo both went on in life and got married and had children. Both of them were never strong on any relationship and ended up leaving them mid-way.

JLo gave birth to twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony in 2008, whom she married in 2004 shortly after Ben Affleck split.

Affleck married Jennifer Garner in 2005 and has three children with her. Both got divorced and went on to have other relationships.

Both of them are single, and Affleck was seen going to Lopez’s house, which has made Bennifer fans dust out their pom-pom and start cheering for them.

They have stayed friends over the years and have constantly supported each other openly, which many exes in Hollywood haven’t done.
