Demon Slayer Season 2 will be releasing this year. The new season will be building on the popularity of the Demon Slayer: Mugen Train movie.

Demon Slayer Season 2 will continue the story after Mugen Train. The season is titled the Yuukaku-hen. It means Red Light District Arc. The key character of this arc will be Tengen Uzui. He is the Hashira with special abilities to command sound.

  •  The core protagonists travel with the senior demon slayer to Yoshiwara, Japan’s famed red-light district.
  • They are tracking down a demon that has been terrorizing the area.
  • The second season will also be delving deeper into the complicated world of the Hashira.
  • We will also be seeing significant character developments for Tanjirou and Nezuko.
  • The new antagonist is named Daki.

The new season is broadcasting on 30 domestic television channels in Japan including major networks such as Fuji TV and Tokyo MX.

Aniplex will be broadcasting to many more channels this time. Their previous record is 21 channels. The broadcasting will also cover the whole island of Japan.

It will also simulcast on Funimation for the territories of the United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Many cast members from the original series are returning. Natsuki Hanae as Tanjirou, Hiro Shimono as Zenitsu, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Inosuke.

Tengen Uzui, the arc’s leading Hashira, will be voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi of Fairy Tail and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure fame. Haruo Sotozaki will also return as director.

Ufotable will continue with the production of the season. Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina will return as the composers.
