Demon Slayer: Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito’s Abilities

Despite his young age, Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito is an incredibly skilled combatant who gained the title of a Hashira after just two mere months of training! That’s an astounding feat considering that something similar has only been accomplished by someone like Gyomei Himejima, the strongest current-generation Hashira. With that said, let’s quickly get into his many powerful abilities.

Demon Slayer Mark

We saw Muichiro first awakening his mark in his battle against Upper Rank Five, Gyokko. The mark took on the form of several, red mist-like designs that envelop his entire body, especially his face and arms.

The mark enhances both his defensive and offensive abilities and not only that, but it was because of the mark that Muichiro was able to push himself to operate his extremely poisoned body and even kill an Upper Rank all by himself.

Extrasensory Perception

Muichiro possesses heightened senses which allows him to hone in on certain things that are way beyond the normal spectrum of perception. This includes being able to distinguish between the aura of a demon and that of a human.

Extremely Fast Reflexes

Similar to other Hashira, Muichiro also shows remarkable agility and the ability to move so fast it almost seems like teleportation. His immense speed is such that he could easily outdo Tanjiro who is also no easy competition in the speed department as he was able to keep up with the movements of Upper Rank demons.

Muichiro’s extremely speedy reflexes is apparent in his fight against Gyokko when he deflected a thousand needles and then later proceeded to slice up a 10,000 slime-fish within a second, even managing to send the lot of them flying before their blood could hit him.

Superhuman Stamina

His scarily powerful endurance level is also something we can see in his battle against Gyokko. Despite being severely poisoned, he showed little to no external signs of pain and had enough strength to counter Gyokko. But his level of extreme pain endurance and stamina is most evident in his battle against Kokushibo.

Even though he got his arm and legs cut off, shoulder stabbed, and even his entire torso sliced off, he powered through with such nonchalance and held onto his katana and turned his Nichirin Sword bright red, effectively hampering Kokushibo’s regeneration. This later proved to be a crucial move in leading to Kokushibo’s defeat.

Omnipresent Rage

Much of Muichiro’s strength stems from the awakened rage that is constantly bubbling inside him. This insatiable rage is what pushes his indomitable willpower and superhuman determination, best exemplified in his battle against Kokushibo when even the fact that his body was horrifyingly mutilated did nothing to stop him.

Despite unthinkable physical trauma and hopeless situations, he managed to firmly push through and play a major role in bringing down Upper Rank One, Kokushibo.

Excellent Swordsmanship- Mist Breathing

Muichiro is one of the most skilled and powerful swordsmen among the other Hashira. He incorporates Mist Breathing style and is his generation’s most skilled Mist Breathing user.

Despite his very young age, his swordsmanship is such that it even impressed and captivated the likes of Upper Rank One, Kokushibo who is considered the strongest swordsman of the present era and has lived almost 30 years longer than Muichiro.
