Dazzling News Updates About Fena: Pirate Princess Out!

Since the announcement of the anime Fena: Pirate Princess came out last year, there has been a lot of hype surrounding the anime. The news of its confirmation came out in an online Adult Swim Con event held in July 2020. 

The hype surrounding Fena: Pirate Princess becomes clearer when you see the plot and the recently released trailer. The story of the anime focuses on the hardships of an orphan girl, Fena Houtman, as she takes charge of her destiny.

Imprisoned by her captors, she struggles to escape them and forge her identity while unveiling the mystery of the word “Eden”. Now, that indeed sounds like something that has hints of women’s empowerment. We love anime that boldly take on such topics.

Who Will Be Making The Anime Fena: Pirate Princess?

The two giant companies Crunchyroll and Adult Swim will be co-producing the anime while Production I.G is handling the logistics of anime production. Furthermore, they released the news that the anime’s English Dub will be airing on Toonami. While the Japanese Dub will be airing too on Crunchyroll with English subtitles.

 For the Japanese Dub, the list of cast members or voice actors are the following:

  • Asami Seto as Fena Houtman, the protagonist of the anime
  • Ryōta Suzuki as Yukimaru, Fena’s calm right-hand man who will bear a bullet for Fena.
  • Gen Sato as Enju
  • Aoi Yūki as Karin
  • Jun Oosuka as Tsubaki

A detailed list of the voice actors alongside the characters was released to the public. The list of staff members is out too. Kazuto Nakazawa will be directing the anime while Rui Kuroki will produce it.

Asako Kuboyama will be writing the screenplay. They have released a teaser trailer too for the anime which we have linked below for you.

Release Date of Fena: Pirate Princess

The exact release date of Fena: Pirate Princess isn’t out yet. However, they have been kind enough to tell us that the anime is premiering in the Summer of 2021. 

But it would sting a bit for you to know that badge holders at the 2021 Annecy International Animated Film Festival can watch it. It’s featured as a Work in Progress series.
