Chris Hemsworth is Taking a Break From Acting For the Rest of 2019
The Australian star, who is best known for his role as Thor in Marvel’s Avengers franchise has something to say. After long busy schedules and back to back films, Chris is now feeling to take a break for his family.

The Thor actor told Australia’s Daily Telegraph that he is ready to step back from the spotlight while his three children are at “a very important age.”
Though having a great and smooth journey, the star has some different plans to proceed with. He’s planning a hiatus from acting to be with his family.
“This year I probably won’t shoot anything. I just want to be at home now with my kids,” Hemsworth explained to the Daily Telegraph (via ABC Fox Montana).
It looks he’s more attached to his family and children. Talking ahead he said:
“I have this year where I’m probably not going to shoot anything. I have a press tour, a few endorsements and bits and pieces, but mostly just be home. They are at a very important age,” he explained.
“They are still young and they are aware when I leave more than before. These days, honestly, one of my first questions is location,” continued Hemsworth. “My kids now are all in school and we’re planted in Australia and it’s getting harder to leave.”
Chris Hemsworth is married to model Elsa Pataky in 2010. The couple is parents to India, seven, and twins Sasha and Tristan, five.
Last year in GQ magazine interview, Chris told that his absences were also very hard on his daughter India.
He told the magazine that his daughter finds it harder to get separated from him.
“She’s normally like, ‘Yeah, see you, daddy. Cool,’” he recalled. “she was like, ‘Papa! Papa! Papa!’ She doesn’t always call me Papa, either.”
Chris Still wants to Continue Thor
This does call into question when or how Hemsworth might play Thor again, something the Australian actor says he’s enthusiastic to do, especially in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Earlier this week, Thor actor had some talk with Cinemablend, the actor revealed,“I’d play that character [Thor] again. I love it so much – especially if there’s something unique to do again with it. I felt like the last three films were very, very different each time.”
Chris has been recently seen in Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame, released last month and one more blockbuster film to hit cinemas on June 13, Men in Black 3. Endgame was a great movie at the box office and was highly acclaimed by fans and critics. And looking forward, we also see Men In Black sequel to do the same at the box office.
