Why Does Boruto Hate His Dad?

Why does Boruto hate his father, Naruto?

Naruto and Boruto’s relationship began almost perfectly in the final pages of Naruto’s manga series. However, their relationship evolved to be very dynamic in the spin-off series.

Contrary to popular beliefs, Boruto Uzumaki does not really hate Naruto. He actually adores his father very much and would prefer if they get to spend more quality time. But this is not possible because of Naruto’s other commitments i.e. Hokage.

Furthermore, Boruto does not dislike his father, instead, he just wants him to be around often.

Why Does Boruto Hate His Dad?

Naruto and Boruto’s relationship explained

Boruto is the first child of Naruto and Hinata Uzumaki. Two years later, he became an older brother to his sister, Himawari.

Regardless, Naruto managed to create free time to frequently play with his kids which displayed his love and devotion towards them.

However, the relationship between Naruto and his kids became quite strained when he became the Seventh Hokage. Although he loved Naruto, Boruto was unhappy that they would not get to spend more time together.

Hence, like a rebel kid, he tried different methods to gain Naruto’s attention. For instance, he pretended to be disinterested when his father tried to contact him.

Furthermore, Boruto blamed his dad when he was caught cheating in the Chūnin examination. As a result, he was disqualified for using the Kote.

Nevertheless, later he eventually understood why Naruto did what he did. He also forgave him for his hectic Hokage schedule.
