Boruto Chapter 67 Recap
Ada chastised Code for pretending things were completely fine in the aftermath. Just as Code appeared to have been escaping, Kawaki obstructed him from making an escape and enabled a fight with him.
When Code appeared to be on the verge of death, he conjured the mischievous Daemon to absorb the fireball and prevent himself from getting hit. Kawaki was pushed back by the effect but managed to be alive.
Code was fortunate, according to Ada, because if anything happened to Kawaki, Code would be dead twice over from Daemon. As the villains left, Code admitted he couldn’t fight Kawaki in his current form and stated he’d get Amado to remove his limiters.
Naruto’s apparent death caused him to have a breakdown, and Shikamaru’s attempts to wake him up made us bawl our eyes out. Boruto was as surprised and perplexed as Naruto and Shikamaru when they were about to be resurrected.
However, time appeared to stand still as Momoshiki, a former villain, tried to explain everything that was happening. Boruto was pierced by Kawaki’s kama and became Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s vessel. Momoshiki implanted critical organs and blood inside Boruto, along with the remaining 18% of the karma carrying Momoshiki’s essence.
