Blue Lock On Hiatus: Chapter 149 Delayed
Blue Lock Chapter 149 was supposed to be released on 6th October this week. The cover of the shonen magazine depicted that the chapter will be included. However, fans were surprised to discover that the chapter was inside the magazine.
After much confusion puzzling the internet about the missing chapter, Muneyuki Kaneshiro finally took to his Twitter account to update fans. Unfortunately, he announced that the upcoming chapter of the series is getting delayed.

Taking to Twitter, Muneyuki Kaneshiro, the author of Blue Lock, shared to fans that the illustrator of the manga, Yusuke Nomura, was on leave for a few days. He said that the artist is unwell and in critical condition. As a result, it was revealed that the manga will be on hiatus this week.

The mangaka mentions that the cover of the weekly shonen manga was already drawn by Yusuke. Furthermore, the magazine’s covers state that the new chapter is included owing to earlier printing schedules.
The upcoming chapter of Blue Lock, on the other hand, will not be included in the magazine. He was referring to Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump’s 48th edition. This weekend was its deadline. It would not, however, include the most recent chapter of the Blue Lock Manga.
Blue Lock Chapter 149 Updated Release Date
Mangaka, Muneyuki Kaneshiro, also revealed in his Twitter Account, when to expect the upcoming chapter of Blue Lock. The author concluded that the next chapter of Blue Lock Manga will be issued in conjunction with the 48th issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine. According to this information, we can expect Blue Lock to return on 27th October 2021.
