Ichigo Kurosaki is the protagonist of Bleach and the love interest of Orihime Inoue. However, there was controversy among fans regarding Mr Kubo’s choice of pairing off several characters. Romantically pairing up Ichigo and Rukia has been a long-time desire of fans.
Even so, the ending presented by Tite Kubo was the most appropriate. There are many reasons as to why this can be considered as the perfect fitting.
Ichigo Kurosaki and Orihime Inoue Character sketch
Ichigo Kurosaki, the main character of the series is a human Shinigami for the Soul Society. Initially, he was unsure of his powers and duties as he doesn’t have an end goal. But gradually, he comes to understand the use of those powers to protect humankind from evil spirits.
Orihime Inoue, best friend and ultimately wife of Ichigo. She develops spiritual powers of her own after Ichigo becomes a Soul Reaper. She possesses an intuitive ability to sense others’ mental and emotional states.
Why Orihime and Ichigo are perfect for each other?
Ichigo has shown how dedicated he is to protect Orihime. Because of this, many times opponents have used her as leverage against him to push Ichigo into fighting more fiercely. The most symbolic moment was when Ichigo revived from death for Orihime during his fight with Ulquiorra, all because she cried for his help.
And as from Orihime’s side, it has been more than obvious. She even confesses her love for him during his sleep, before she was taken to Hueco Mando by the Espadas. She emphasizes how she would like to live five times to try different things, but would always fall in love with him.
Ichigo and Orihime always understood and supported each other. She is always empathetic towards him and is very good at reading his mood by his nonverbal gestures. Ichigo would not have reached very far in the battlefield without Orihime by his side.
