Avengers: Endgame Adds Yet Another Feather to Its Hat, Another Record Broken
Yet Another Record Broken:
Endgame has not only been the highest-grossing movies of 2019 but has also been setting and breaking various records this year.
Recently, it became the fastest-selling digital download in the United Kingdom. With this success, everyone involved in the making of the film has been experiencing an all-time high.
Endgame overtook Bohemian Rhapsody’s position for the top spot, a film which had debuted with 265,000 in its first week itself. The conclusion for the Infinity Saga crossed that record with a staggering 335,400.
Additionally, along with Endgame in the first position and Avengers: Infinity War coming in third with 253,000, Bohemian Rhapsody became the only non-Marvel movie having a spot in the top three in the United Kingdom.
One of the reasons for Avengers: Endgame is at the top is that the movie isn’t available on DVD or Blu-ray in the UK as of yet.
Why Such A Success?
Fans have been flocking to the big screen to watch the film more so since the film is not going to be available on Amazon Prime or Netflix anytime soon.
With Disney Plus launching in November, it could potentially see a huge consumer base due to the numerous Marvel Studios movies that are lined up to air on the platform.
Regardless, there could be problems as well since the launch date for the video streaming platform has not yet been revealed for many countries, one of which is the United Kingdom.
Disney Plus Launch Dates:
The 2019 Disney D23 Expo did give fans some much-needed details about the upcoming platform. A few weeks after its launch, Disney Plus will hit four major world markets in addition to the United States.
This includes The Netherlands and Canada on November 12th, along with New Zealand and Austria on November 19th. There was no date for the fans in the UK.
Disney’s Plans of Growth Hindered?
Disney reportedly has plans to reach all the major world markets within the first years after its launch.
But, with no clear and set dates available for most countries, no one, especially the potential users in the UK, knows when they would be able to enjoy the wide array of content that is to come to the platform.
