The top anime series Jujutsu Kaisen is back with a movie for the fans and the news has taken over the Internet by storm. Studio Mappa released this information on the 29th of July, 2021 through a chilling trailer. The upcoming film is titled Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie and features our protagonist Yuta Okkotsu.

The movie is set to be released in Japan on Christmas Eve i.e the 24th of December, 2021. It will be a prequel to the series and our senpais Panda, Toge and Maki will be in their first year. 

The teaser that came out focuses on a ring that seems to showcase the emotional bond between Yuta and Rika. However, a dark and gloomy aura surrounds Yuta suddenly with a hand in his sword, which represents the essence of the world of Jujutsu Kaisen.

The cast from the mainline series will grace us in the upcoming movie. Some of them are Megumi Ogata as Yuta Okkotsu, Kouki Uchiyama as Toge Inumaki, Yuichi Nakamura as Satoru Gojou, Mikako Komatsu as Maki Zenin, Tomokazu Seki as Panda and Takahiro Sakurai as Suguru Getou.

The voice actors have previously worked in some iconic roles. Megumi Ogata as Shinji in Neon Genesis Evangelion, Kouki as Mereum in Hunter x Hunter, Yuichi as Sukasa in Dr Stone, Mikako as Susamaru in Demon Slayer, Tomokazu as Selkie in My Hero Academia and Takahiro as Diablo in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

We can expect more teasers and visuals to come out as the release date is months away from us. Let’s hope that this becomes another super hit movie of 2021 like Demon Slayer: Mugen Train
