All The Characters That Could or Could Not Return In The Matrix 4

The Matrix 4 will see the return of Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity. Know which other characters will be making a comeback for the sequel.

The Oracle

Oracle was a crucial figure in The Matrix movies. While explicitly predicting “The One” was her primary task, she was an integral part of the program. It is difficult to see how the Matrix 4 unfolds without her presence as one of the two balancing forces of Matrix.

Seraph

If Oracle returns, so can her faithful bodyguard Seraph. Last seen in The Matrix Revolutions, Seraph was all well and alive. Seraph acts as a gateway for The Oracle, and anyone who wants to talk to her must prove their credentials. Depending on which timeline the film adopts, The Oracle could find a new guardian in The Matrix 4.

The Architect

One of the two opposing powers of the Matrix, The Oracle, has already been mentioned. The other is The Architect, creator of The Matrix and representative of the cold logic of machines, serving as the chief administrator of the system. Although not characterized by Helmut Bakitis, the audience is likely to see the return of the architect in some form.

Morpheus

Though Laurence Fishburne has not been confirmed to return; still there have been rumours of his character’s return, potentially as a younger version of himself. A Zion operative and widely respected spiritual figure for the citizens, Morpheus played a crucial role in the original The Matrix trilogy as a freedom fighter, a believer in prophecy, and a mentor to Neo. If the younger version of Morpheus comes true, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is the obvious cast choice.

Sati

It was emphasized that her role in The Matrix films remains a mystery, but of greater importance, so Sati’s potential role in The Matrix 4 is full of opportunities. Sati’s return is entangled with the returns of The Oracle, Seraph and The Architect. Also, if The Matrix 4 wants to launch the “next generation,” Sati can serve as a link between it and the original films and can be cast as an adult by Priyanka Chopra.

Ghost

Since Jada Pinkett Smith has confirmed his return as a Niobe, it makes sense for Anthony Wong to return as Ghost, even though he has not announced his return. The first mate of logos and one of only three crew members, including Captain Niobe and Operator Sparks. He had a close relationship with Trinity, another character returning in The Matrix 4.

Persephone

With Lambert Wilson confirmed to return as The Merovingian in The Matrix 4, it is not surprising that his wife Persephone, played by Monica Bellucci, will also appear. Although their marriage was unsatisfactory and Persephone had previously betrayed her husband to help the Resistance. They were found together in Club Hel after helping Neo, suggesting that their marriage endured the betrayal.
