Robert Downey Jr. recently revealed a video call between his fellow mates Avengers Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye & Hulk.
Since Joss Whedon’s 2012 film, six MCU stars have gone on to star in new movies and re-team after every few years for another Avengers episode. Last year we saw, two of the original six wrapped up their tenure at MCU with Avengers: Endgame.
While three out of the other four are already set to return to various MCU movies or TV shows, the Endgame finally saw the appearance of the original Six Avengers on screen for the last time. At least, till all the actors sign on to return to another such meet, but until it is confirmed, Downey’s latest tease will have to do.
Downey Jr., who joined director Joe Russo for the Avengers: Endgame Quarantine Watch Party on Instagram Live, recently mentioned that he has connected with five of his fellow Avengers. Although he did not mention his fellow stars by name, he was probably referring to Evans, Hemsworth, Ruffalo, Renner, and Johansson.
Downey Jr. said: “I won’t say why, but I had an occasion to be interfacing with the other five of the original six Avengers just a few days ago, and after we all hung up off our Zoom-like call, I got this wave of… Yeah, and then it did feel like a year ago.”
With Downey Jr. already disclosing the video call, we hope it won’t be long before the actor or one of his co-stars, or Marvel itself reveals what it was about. Fans might be assuming for some kind of reunion video commemorating the first anniversary of Avengers: Endgame’s release or something new in the world, but it’s not yet clear what exactly happened between the MCU actors.
Fans can imagine everything they want, and maybe we’ll have answers soon. At present, fans can find some joy in knowing that the original six Avengers stars have recently got together to chat among themselves, proving the relationships they have built while filming these MCU films continue.
