Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor season 2 release date

The fantasy anime Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor is a perfect blend of magic, comedy and romance. The TV series is adapted from a light novel series written by Taro Hitsuji and illustrated by Kurone Mishima. Just like its original material, the anime too received a good response from the critics and fans.

Liden Films launched the first season from April to June 2017. It has been more than three years since the fans last saw the characters on the screens. And they have been waiting for an update from the creators. So will we get another installment of the series? Here’s everything we know.

Can we expect a Second season of Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor?

As we have already mentioned, there is no update at all from the makers regarding the sequel. We do not have the foggiest idea of the renewal status. Neither did they cancel nor renew the show. We can only speculate at this point. 

However, if we look at the original material, it is very likely for the series to get renewed. The novel has 16 volumes and the anime covers only five till now. This proves that there is enough source material for another adaptation. 

It is also important to take into account the popularity of the show. The mystical series got high ratings and incredible reviews from the viewers. So, hopefully, that increases the chance of renewal of the show.

Bastard Magic Instructor: About the Anime

The plot centers around the Alzano Imperial Magic Academy. Sistine Fibel and Rumia Tingel get admitted to the academy to improve their magical skills. However, they soon discover that the new instructor seems to be incompetent and unskilled. But what they don’t know is that he is actually hiding his exceptional skills and power.

The story goes on to show the adventures and struggles the three characters go through. The series also deals with many topics like depression, friendship and one’s pursuit for power.
