‘6 New Movies’ in Development after Avengers: Endgame

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is keeping future of MCU under wraps.

Avengers: Endgame is currently running in theaters and it’s making fans curious about MCU’s further steps. “As we’ve been doing for years, we aren’t going to announce anything post-Avengers: Endgame or Spider-Man Far From Home until post Endgame and Spider-Man,” Feige told ComicBook.com.

We have a vague idea of what the next batch of films will look like in phase four. Here are five Marvel movies coming out after Avengers: Endgame that you should be excited for.

1) Spider-Man: Far From Home

Release Date: July 2, 2019

Currently, The Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is in the queue with an official release date. Earlier this month, Marvel released its first trailer,  we all realized that both Peter Parker and Nick Fury would survive Endgame.

However, as we all know Tony Stark–who was Parker’s mentor in Homecoming–is nowhere to be found.

During an Endgame event in Shanghai, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said, “It’s the end of the third phase. You’re the first person I told that to.”

2) Black Widow

Expected to be a prequel of the hot female spy, the Black Widow aka Natasha.

The Avengers fans of the MCU have been waiting long for a solo Black Widow movie. It’s rumored that Cate Shortland will direct the solo movie.

Back in July 2018, Cate Shortland was tapped to direct. Ned Branson was brought on to pin down the film, and it’s been in pre-production ever since.

Seeing as though this movie could be ready to start shooting, it may be the first Marvel film of 2020.

3) Black Panther 2

Black Panther won three Oscars for Best Original Score, Best Costume Design and Best Production Design at 2019 Academy Awards. The movie made $1.3 billion dollars worldwide. It was a huge hit and shattered many previous Marvel records.

The unimaginable response from fans has made us believe that a sequel should be coming our way.

The only things we know are that Ryan Coogler will return to write and direct the next installment of the franchise. It will go into production in late 2019 or early 2020.

4) Shang-Chi

Shang-Chi is a martial arts expert with no superpowers, but he’s really good at defending himself and beating people up. He’s a mortal human who has spent his life training in his craft.

Marvel will be adding the new character in the film production in coming years. Dave Callaham will be writing the upcoming movie, which will follow the titular comic book character.

Most recently, Destin Daniel Cretton has been tapped to direct.

5) Doctor Strange 2

Doctor Strange was really a success with the heavy response from the audience for its sequel. Director and writer Scott Derrickson will be returning to helm the film.

It seems it will take a  bit longer for production. Benedict Cumberbatch and Benedict Wong will be playing Dr. Strange and Wong respectively.

Though there’s no official confirmation, it is believed that the movie will begin production in spring 2020 with a May 2021 release date.

6) The Eternals

Out of the legendary mind of Jack Kirby, The Eternals are an evolutionary offshoot of humans. The Celestials–the oldest beings in the Marvel Universe–came to Earth and altered some human genes, a million years ago.

These super humans are not immortal, but they live long lifespans and have incredible superpowers.

It’s a year since The Eternals was teased. Back in April 2018, Feige teased The Eternals at a press day for Captain Marvel, saying he wanted to introduce an ensemble team to the MCU, like Guardians of the Galaxy, but not totally.

Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3

JamesGunn got infired but still, he is at his job making The Suicide Squad… That majorly is the reason we might just have to wait till 2022 for another Guardians of the Galaxy movie, or should I say AsGuardians of the Galaxy.
